SGLT1 is predominantly located on the apical membrane of enterocytes in the small intestine, specifically in the duodenum and jejunum regions. It is also found in the apical membrane of the proximal convoluted tubules in the kidney, where it is involved in glucose reabsorption from the filtrate.
