Several techniques are employed to study SH3 domains and their interactions. These include X-ray crystallography and NMR spectroscopy for structural characterization, as well as yeast two-hybrid screening and co-immunoprecipitation for identifying interaction partners. Additionally, mutagenesis studies are used to investigate the functional significance of specific residues within the SH3 domain.
