Lichenoid infiltrate refers to a histopathological pattern characterized by a dense band-like inflammatory cell infiltrate, predominantly composed of lymphocytes, located at the interface between the epidermis and dermis. This pattern resembles lichen planus, hence the term "lichenoid". This infiltrate can be seen in a variety of cutaneous and mucosal conditions.
