Allergic Bronchopulmonary Aspergillosis (ABPA) is a hypersensitivity reaction that occurs in response to colonization of the airways by the fungus Aspergillus. It primarily affects individuals with asthma or cystic fibrosis, leading to airway inflammation, bronchiectasis, and mucus plugging.
