Complexity: The technique requires specialized equipment and expertise to perform and interpret. Cost: FLIM systems are typically more expensive than traditional fluorescence microscopes. Time-consuming: Acquisition and analysis of FLIM data can be time-consuming compared to intensity-based methods.
