A lipoma is a benign tumor composed of adipose tissue, commonly known as a fatty tumor. It is the most common type of soft tissue tumor in adults and typically occurs in the subcutaneous tissues. Lipomas are usually slow-growing and are often found in the neck, shoulders, back, abdomen, arms, and thighs.
