Hypersegmentation refers to the presence of an increased number of nuclear lobes in certain cells, typically observed in neutrophils. Under normal conditions, neutrophils usually display three to five lobes. However, in hypersegmented neutrophils, one can observe more than five lobes. This phenomenon is often an indicator of specific pathological conditions and is an important marker in the field of Histology.
