Cytochrome P450 enzymes are predominantly located in the endoplasmic reticulum of hepatocytes in the liver. Histologically, these enzymes can be visualized using immunohistochemical staining techniques. In the liver, they are most abundant in the centrilobular region of the hepatic lobule.
