What is the Difference Between True Ependymal Rosettes and Pseudorosettes?
It is important to distinguish between true ependymal rosettes and pseudorosettes. True rosettes have a central lumen, while pseudorosettes do not. Instead, pseudorosettes have cells that are arranged around a central blood vessel or a fibrillary core. Pseudorosettes are also seen in ependymomas but can be found in other tumors like medulloblastomas and oligodendrogliomas.
