What Information is Included in a Histology Diagnostic Report?
A typical histology diagnostic report includes patient information, the type of tissue sample, the method of collection, and a detailed microscopic description of the tissue. It also contains a diagnostic conclusion and, often, recommendations for further testing or treatment. Special stains and immunohistochemistry results may also be included to provide additional diagnostic information.
