There are four primary types of tissues in animals:
Epithelial Tissue: Covers body surfaces and lines hollow organs, cavities, and ducts. It serves as a protective barrier. Connective Tissue: Supports and connects other tissues and organs. Examples include bone, blood, and adipose tissue. Muscle Tissue: Specialized for contraction and includes skeletal, cardiac, and smooth muscle tissues. Nervous Tissue: Composed of neurons and glial cells, it is responsible for transmitting electrical impulses throughout the body.
