What Are the Limitations of the Nottingham Histologic Score?
Despite its widespread use, there are limitations:
Subjectivity: The assessment of nuclear pleomorphism and mitotic count can vary between pathologists. Sampling error: A small biopsy may not be representative of the entire tumor. Inter-observer Variability: Different pathologists may assign different scores to the same tumor.
