The total Nottingham Histologic Score is the sum of the points for each of the three components, ranging from 3 to 9. The total score corresponds to a histologic grade:
Grade 1 (3-5 points): Well-differentiated
Grade 2 (6-7 points): Moderately differentiated
Grade 3 (8-9 points): Poorly differentiated
