Despite its advantages, Prussian Blue staining has some limitations:
- Quantification: It provides a qualitative assessment of iron rather than a precise quantitative measurement. - False Negatives: In cases of very low iron content, the staining may not be sensitive enough to detect small amounts of iron. - Processing Artifacts: Improper tissue processing can lead to artifacts that may interfere with the interpretation of results.
