Birt-Hogg-Dubé Syndrome is a genetic condition associated with the development of cysts in the lungs. Histologically, these cysts are often lined by normal respiratory epithelium and show a lack of significant inflammation or fibrosis. The cysts are typically subpleural and located in the lower lobes of the lungs.
