What is the Clinical Significance of a Perinuclear Hof?
The presence of a perinuclear hof can be of clinical significance, particularly in the diagnosis of certain diseases. For example, an abundance of plasma cells with prominent perinuclear hofs can be indicative of multiple myeloma or other plasma cell dyscrasias. Additionally, the appearance of macrophages with a perinuclear hof can be suggestive of certain inflammatory conditions.
