Mitotic count measures the number of cells undergoing mitosis (cell division) in a specified area of the tumor, usually 10 high-power fields (HPFs). A higher mitotic count indicates a more aggressive tumor.
Score 1: 0-9 mitoses per 10 HPFs Score 2: 10-19 mitoses per 10 HPFs Score 3: ≥20 mitoses per 10 HPFs
