Enterocytes: These are the predominant cells in the intestinal lining, responsible for absorbing nutrients and electrolytes. Goblet Cells: These cells secrete mucus to lubricate the intestinal lining and protect it from digestive enzymes. Paneth Cells: Located at the base of the crypts, they secrete antimicrobial peptides to maintain gut flora balance.
