What are the Histological Features of Lead Granules?
Under the microscope, lead granules appear as small, dense, basophilic inclusions within the cells. They are often located in the cytoplasm and can be seen in association with mitochondria or nuclear regions. These granules may cause cellular changes such as vacuolization, cellular swelling, and necrosis. In chronic exposure cases, fibrosis and inflammatory responses may also be observed.
