Epithelial Tissue: Composed mainly of tightly packed epithelial cells with minimal ECM. It forms protective layers on surfaces and linings of organs. Connective Tissue: Contains a diverse array of cells, such as fibroblasts, adipocytes, and immune cells, embedded in a rich ECM containing collagen and elastin fibers. Muscle Tissue: Comprised of muscle fibers (cells) that contain actin and myosin filaments, responsible for contraction and movement. Nervous Tissue: Made up of neurons and glial cells. Neurons are specialized for transmitting electrical signals, while glial cells provide support and protection.
