Foreign body giant cells (FBGCs) are a type of multinucleated giant cell that form when the immune system attempts to isolate and engulf large foreign materials that cannot be phagocytosed by a single macrophage. These giant cells are characterized by the presence of numerous nuclei within a single cell membrane.
