osseous tissue
How is Osseous Tissue Organized?
Osseous tissue is organized into two main types:
Compact Bone
: Dense and strong, it forms the outer layer of bones and provides structural support.
Spongy Bone
: Also known as cancellous bone, it is lighter and less dense, found mainly at the ends of long bones and in the interior of other bones.
