Treatment is generally not directed at the hyposegmentation itself but at the underlying condition. For example, in cases of myelodysplastic syndrome, treatment may include chemotherapy, bone marrow transplant, or supportive therapies such as blood transfusions. In infections or inflammatory conditions, appropriate anti-infective or anti-inflammatory treatments are administered.
