Muscle tissue is responsible for movement. There are three types of muscle tissue: skeletal, cardiac, and smooth muscle.
- Skeletal Muscle: These muscles are attached to bones and are responsible for voluntary movements. They enable activities such as walking, talking, and writing. - Cardiac Muscle: Found only in the heart, cardiac muscle contracts rhythmically to pump blood throughout the body. - Smooth Muscle: Located in the walls of internal organs such as the intestines, blood vessels, and bladder, smooth muscle controls involuntary movements like peristalsis and blood flow regulation.
