Several techniques are used to measure the material properties of tissues:
Microscopy: Provides detailed images of tissue structure. Tensile testing: Measures the mechanical strength and elasticity of tissues. Atomic force microscopy (AFM): Measures surface roughness and mechanical properties on a microscopic scale. Histochemical staining: Identifies chemical composition and distribution within tissues.
