interferon gamma
Where is Interferon Gamma produced?
IFN-γ is predominantly produced by activated T cells, especially CD4+ T helper cells (Th1) and CD8+ cytotoxic T lymphocytes, as well as NK cells. These cells release IFN-γ in response to immune challenges, including infections and tumor cells.
