In eukaryotic cells, DNA is primarily located in the nucleus, organized into structures called chromosomes. A small amount of DNA can also be found in mitochondria, known as mitochondrial DNA. RNA, on the other hand, is synthesized in the nucleus but functions predominantly in the cytoplasm. It is involved in various cellular processes, including protein synthesis and regulation of gene expression.
