Fix the tissue sections in 10% formalin for a few minutes. Rinse the sections with water to remove excess fixative. Stain the sections with Oil Red O working solution for 10-15 minutes. Rinse the sections with water to remove excess stain. Counterstain with hematoxylin to visualize nuclei. Mount the sections with an aqueous mounting medium.
