Nodular melanoma is a highly aggressive form of skin cancer that arises from the uncontrolled growth of melanocytes, the pigment-producing cells in the skin. Unlike other types of melanoma, nodular melanoma tends to grow vertically into the skin, making it particularly dangerous as it can quickly invade deeper tissues and metastasize to other parts of the body.
