Several cell types are involved in tissue responses:
Neutrophils: First responders in acute inflammation, responsible for phagocytosis of pathogens. Macrophages: Play a central role in both acute and chronic inflammation, as well as in tissue repair. Lymphocytes: Key players in chronic inflammation and immune response. Fibroblasts: Involved in the production of extracellular matrix during fibrosis. Endothelial cells: Critical for new blood vessel formation during tissue repair.
