It can be time-consuming and labor-intensive, especially for large or complex samples. The accuracy of the results depends on the quality of the microscopic image and the precision of the grid overlay. It may not be suitable for very small or irregularly shaped structures. It requires a certain level of expertise and training to perform accurately.
