Autofluorescence: Some biological tissues exhibit natural fluorescence, which can interfere with the detection of labeled structures. Complexity: The technique requires specialized equipment and expertise, which may not be readily available in all laboratories. Cost: Fluorophores and related reagents can be expensive, increasing the overall cost of experiments.
