Tumor grades are typically categorized into three or four groups:
- Grade 1 (Low Grade): Cells resemble normal cells and are well-differentiated. They tend to grow slowly and are less likely to spread. - Grade 2 (Intermediate Grade): Cells are moderately differentiated and have a higher mitotic rate than Grade 1. - Grade 3 (High Grade): Cells are poorly differentiated, appear abnormal, and tend to grow and spread more aggressively. - Grade 4 (Very High Grade): Cells are undifferentiated, highly abnormal, and exhibit rapid growth and spreading.
