What are the Complications of a Cystoscopic Procedure?
Although generally safe, cystoscopic procedures can have some complications:
- Infections: There is a risk of introducing bacteria into the urinary tract. - Bleeding: Minor bleeding may occur due to tissue sampling. - Pain: Some discomfort or pain may be experienced during and after the procedure. - Perforation: Rarely, the bladder or urethra may be perforated during the procedure.
