Despite significant advances, several challenges remain in scaffold fabrication. These include achieving the desired porosity and interconnectivity to facilitate cell migration and nutrient diffusion, replicating the complex architecture of native tissues, and ensuring the scalability of the fabrication processes. Additionally, balancing mechanical strength with bioresorbability and avoiding adverse immune reactions are ongoing challenges.
