Antoni A regions are identified through histopathological examination of tissue sections stained with hematoxylin and eosin (H&E). The distinctive cellularity and arrangement of the cells make it possible to recognize Antoni A areas even at low magnification. Immunohistochemical staining for markers such as S-100 protein can further confirm the presence of Schwann cells, which are the origin of these tumors.
