The American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) is one of the primary organizations that offer certification for histotechnicians. The ASCP Board of Certification (BOC) is widely recognized and respected in the field. Other organizations, such as the National Society for Histotechnology (NSH), also support professional development but do not offer certification themselves.
