Osteopontin is found in the extracellular matrix (ECM) of bone, teeth, and other tissues. It is particularly abundant in mineralized tissues and is secreted by osteoblasts, osteocytes, and osteoclasts. Additionally, it is present in the kidneys, immune cells, and various tumors.
