Non-Invasive Prenatal Testing (NIPT) is a screening method used to assess the risk of certain genetic conditions in a developing fetus. Unlike invasive methods such as amniocentesis or chorionic villus sampling (CVS), NIPT relies on analyzing cell-free fetal DNA (cffDNA) present in the maternal blood.
