Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) is a chronic inflammatory condition of the gastrointestinal tract. The two main types of IBD are Crohn's Disease and Ulcerative Colitis. Both conditions involve an aberrant immune response that leads to inflammation and damage of the intestinal tissues.
