A tumor is an abnormal mass of tissue that arises from uncontrolled cell division. Tumors can be classified as benign or malignant. Benign tumors are non-cancerous and usually localized, whereas malignant tumors are cancerous and have the potential to invade surrounding tissues and metastasize to distant organs.
