Mesoblastic Stage: Occurs in the yolk sac during early embryonic development. Hepatic Stage: The liver becomes the primary site of hematopoiesis from around the sixth week of gestation. Medullary Stage: By the fifth month of fetal development, the bone marrow becomes the main site of hemopoiesis.
