Chondrodysplasias are a group of disorders characterized by abnormal development of cartilage and bone. These conditions often result in disproportionate short stature and various skeletal abnormalities. Histologically, chondrodysplasias are often identified by defects in cartilage matrix, growth plate architecture, and the extracellular matrix.
