How is Tissue Processed in Minimally Invasive Histology?
Once a sample is obtained, it undergoes several steps before microscopic examination:
Fixation: Preserves the tissue to prevent degradation. Embedding: The tissue is encased in a medium like paraffin for support during cutting. Sectioning: Thin slices of the tissue are cut using a microtome. Staining: Dyes are applied to highlight different cellular components.
