Motor neurons are specialized cells that transmit motor commands from the CNS to muscles. There are two types of motor neurons:
Upper Motor Neurons (UMNs): Located in the motor cortex and brainstem, they send signals to lower motor neurons. Lower Motor Neurons (LMNs): Found in the spinal cord and brainstem, they directly innervate skeletal muscles to produce movement.
