How are Argentaffin Cells Different from Argyrophil Cells?
While both argentaffin and argyrophil cells can reduce silver salts, the mechanisms by which they do so are different. Argentaffin cells can reduce silver salts directly without the need for an external reducing agent, whereas argyrophil cells require an external reducing agent to achieve the reduction.
